Who we are

The Korean Youth Honor Society Music Competition (KYHS Music Competition) celebrates young classical musicians of Korean heritage worldwide.

Since its founding in Seoul in 2021 (2021-2025), the competition has expanded its presence to Washington, D.C. (2023–2025), New York (2024–2025), and its International Online Division (2025), creating a truly global platform for musical excellence and cultural connection.

Participants represent all classical instruments, including piano, strings, winds, brass, percussion, harp, guitar, and vocal performance.
Through both Live Divisions — held annually in Seoul, Washington D.C., and New York — and our Online International Division, KYHS Music Competition offers opportunities for students worldwide to showcase artistry, discipline, and creativity.

Winners from each division are invited to perform at the Winners’ Recital at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall, one of the most prestigious stages in the world.
In 2025, the Competition also launches the KYHS New Music Collaboration (World Premiere Series), encouraging young performers and emerging composers to create and premiere new works together — fostering innovation and community in the classical arts.

The Korean Youth Honor Society Music Competition (KYHS Music Competition) is a global platform jointly directed by
Youth Honor USA LLC (KYHS USA) and the Korean Youth Honor Society (Seoul Headquarters).

The competition operates through regional divisions:
KYHS USA manages programs in North & South America and Europe,
while KYHS Seoul HQ oversees Asia, Oceania, and Africa.

Together, the two organizations collaborate to provide young musicians worldwide with professional performance opportunities — culminating in the Winners’ Recital at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall (New York).
